Plan as you might, you must be ready for everything to go out the window at the last second. A week before Rich was set to propose to his girlfriend, Angela, we took a long afternoon to plan how we were going to execute the surprise. We had the location picked, the time set, and a sneaky plan to bring Angela to the location all dressed up by having her cousin tell her that they were chosen to be photographed for a promo for their job. We set up, asked people to respectfully clear the surroundings and... nothing. She wasn't coming around the bend. We waited, and waited and after a few minutes, just as we just loosened up, Rich got a call that they're walking up to us right now! Running back to the planned spot, not-so-politely asking the now different crowd of people to clear the space, we both set up in position just as we saw them come into our line of sight. It took Angela a whole 5 seconds to realize what was going on and, well, I think her expressions really tells the rest of the story.
